About the Advice Dorset Partnership

The Advice Dorset Partnership exists to ensure that the people using advice services in Dorset can access the right advice when they need it. We work together, providing the voice of the advice sector to influence decision-making and supporting organisations to deliver quality advice.

Following on from the publication of the Dorset Advice Strategy in 2015, and the work of the Advice Dorset Network in 2016-17, the Advice Dorset Partnership has been established.

From April 2017 , anyone working in an organisation in Dorset, Bournemouth and Poole, with a remit to deliver information and advice, can sign up to be  a member of the new Advice Dorset Partnership (at no cost) and get a fortnightly e-bulletin.

The Advice Dorset Partnership is FREE to all organisations providing advice and support to residents of Bournemouth, Dorset and Poole. The Partnership brings together organisations to:

  • Provide a ‘voice’ for the advice sector, influencing policy decisions at a strategic level
  • Jointly provide evidence of need, and the impact of advice
  • Take action on behalf of the sector
  • Encourage more effective joint working
  • Provide opportunities to share good practice and network
  • Provide training

Organisations may also choose to sign up to the Advice Dorset Partnership Plus programme and, for a small fee, have free access to conferences, welfare benefit forum meetings and training at a reduced cost.
